- "La Crosse North/South Transportation Corridor", WisDOT ID #5991-04-00, Prepared by Heritage Research, Ltd. (1996).

2017 UPDATE - THIS BUILDING LOOKS MUCH LIKE IT DID WHEN LAST SURVEYED IN 1996.

2020 - Resurveyed as comparable property to Fire Station No. 5. This building was originally built as the Engine House No. 3 in 1906, possibly on the site of the earlier 3rd Ward Engine House (constructed in 1872). The building was altered to its current appearance in the early 1980s. Engine bay openings have been bricked over and new windows and doors installed, along with the current gabled front porch. The south (side) man door has also been bricked over.
