It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. 2022 PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION The garage for the Foreman’s Residence is a one-story, single-car garage that is rectangular in plan with front gabled roof. DNR site files indicate the garage was constructed in 1961. The exterior is clad in wood shingle. The eaves are open below with wood fascia at the gable and eave ends. The roof is covered with asphalt composition shingle. The windows are six-lite fixed wood sash windows. The original wood overhead garage door, a sixteen panel with windows in the second row, was replaced with a vinyl overhead garage door with raised panels. The original wood style and rail pedestrian door has been replaced with a flush metal skin door. The Brule River State Fish Hatchery consists of the rearing house, a shop/garage building (AHI 32544), two residences (AHI 32543; 32593), two residence garages (244833; 32595), concrete dam (32545), seventeen concrete raceways (32597), four earthen rock-lined raceways, eight rearing ponds, a flood bypass channel, and a waste treatment settling pond.
