Lord is having material placed on the ground, for a new home, top be built in Park Place, north of the T. B. Earle home." Dr. Simon L. Lord was a surgeon in the Civil War & came with his family to Edgerton, from Maine, after the war, in 1865-with his wife - sons Charles, Will, Jim, daughter Belle. Jim became a doctor--at Rush Medical College in Chicago. Dr. Jim Lord died in his prime, according to an article in the Edgerton Reporter newspaper. |
