Additional Information:Exhibiting the smooth surfaces and cubic shape of the modern styles, the brick temple structure has a recessed facade in the central block designed to create a covered entrance for the synagogue.

Features include: Beige brick; moderne structure composed of geometric blocks; recessed area in front block creates open vestibule for double leaf entrance door.

Built by a significant Jewish population present in La Crosse since the early days of settlement, the sons of Abraham Synagogue was designed by a local architectural firm Boyum, Schubert, and Sorensen and constructed in 1947.

2017 UPDATE - BUILDING APPEARS SUBSTANTIALLY THE SAME AS WHEN IT WAS LAST SURVEYED IN 1996.
