Additional Information:Intersecting hip roofs; two story cut out in front facade creates entrance bay with half timber articularion on the upper story and brick lower story with round arched door with radiating brick voussoirs; shed roofed wall dormers multipaned windows; chimney posts; hip roofed garage and recent addition; wooden bay window on east side. Large wooded corner lot. Designed by Percy Bentley for his close friend Vincent Kidder in an English cottage style c. 1924, this house is significant as Bentley's only known La Crosse design for an English Cottage house, this house is important as the unusual representative of the work of a local architect recognized in recent years as a Prairie School architect. William V, Kidder was co-owner of the Motor Inventions Company, a dealer in automobile accessories, when this house was built. Also has French influence.
