| Additional Information: | Hip roofed one-story house with cornice returns with paired windows in the front cross gable, gable roofed west dormer and enclosed front porch. Shed roofed rear addition. "Victorian Classic Box Type". This one-and-one-half-story cube was built c.1895. The walls are clad in brick veneer and rest on a rough ashlar foundation. Asphalt shingles cover the hip roof and large central cross gable on the front (south) facade, and a central brick chimney extends from the apex of the roof. A c.1910 enclosed, hip-roof porch with brick walls and a concrete block foundation spans the front facade, accessed via curved concrete steps with a metal hand rail. A small gable dormer on east (side) elevation has replacement siding. A c.1910 one-story, brick, shed roof addition extends on the rear (north) elevation. Windows are one-over-one replacement sash with sleeper brick sills. The property is a modest example of vernacular form and has been altered with an enclosed porch and replacement windows. |
