Additional Information:Plain cornice with parapet articlated by decorative brick work facade divided vertically by staged pilasters and slightly projecting end and center bays. Round arched windows in upper. An important structure designed by Schick and Stoltze, the metzger Building has lost sufficient architectural in3tegrity to alter is archietectural significance. George Metzger was a pharmacist, Register of the U.S. Land Office and 4th Ward Alderman, he built this building during his "retirement."
