Additional Information: | Tapestry brick; shortened second story; broad roof overhang; enclosed south side porch (windows now altered); rectangular two-story bay on west side; hip roofed door hood; outside wall chimney; garage and shed roofed open porch added. Porch filled in and enclosed. Probably influenced as much by its owner as by the architects, Bentley and Merman, the Klick house is representative of the less elaborate Prairie School house by Bentley and Merman. Albert Klick was a brick contractor, who did much of the brick construction for architects, Bentley and Merman. 2017 UPDATE - HOUSE APPEARS SUBSTANTIALLY THE SAME AS WHEN ORIGINALLY SURVEYED IN 1996. |
