NOTES
Additional Information:Hip roofed one-story house with intersecting hip roofs, north hip roofed addition with enclosed frame porch, cornice returns and oculus in front cross gable, front rectangular bay window, and triangular pediment shaped flat stone window heads. "Victorian Classic Box Type." 1996- "A gabled wall dormer with an oculus window within its peak is the most prominent feature of this brick dwelling. This one story, hip roof residence retains only a few of its masonry window hoods, while its sills are plain. An aluminum-sided porch addition and bay window as well as a metal-sheathed roof and several modern windows further detract from the structure's integrity." - "La Crosse North/South Transportation Corridor", WisDOT ID #5991-04-00, Prepared by Heritage Research, Ltd. (1996). 2016 UPDATE - HOUSE LOOKS SUBSTANTIALLY LIKE IT DID WHEN SURVEYED IN 1996. 2024: Not resurveyed for the STH 35 Corridor Study. Building has replacement windows and an altered porch. 2025; This hip roofed one-story "Victorian Classic Box Type” cottage was constructed circa 1900. It has a rock-faced masonry foundation, red monochrome brick, and intersecting hip roofs with cornice returns. An oculus is at the front cross gable, as well as a front rectangular bay window, a series of double-hung sashes, and triangular pediment shaped flat stone window heads. The north hip-roofed addition hosts an enclosed frame porch. No changes since last survey date.
