Broad, bracketed overhang; center gable with circular window and bargeboard; pilaster like treatment along corners; flat arch lintels with corbel stop; 2 story bay with "dog tooth" brick work; entry porch with denticulated frieze and brackets; heavily molded double doors and transom. #650: Garage. Constructed for Henry Epstein, a local brewer. In 1875, Epstein purchased Hettinger Brewery located on Edgewater Avenue behind the future location of his house. Alterations include the painted brick walls, replacement windows, and a small shed-roof addition to the rear. |
