Additional Information: | Excellent larger example with large front gabled front facing ell with slightly narrower gable roof ells facing east and west. The front facing gable end has a Palladian style triple window group and is surrounded by fishscale pattern wood shingles. All gable ends have decorated bargeboards. The east facing ell has a cutaway first floor with panels of vertical tongue and groove baord siding below and above the windows, which have leaded glass transoms. The second floor of this ell has a band of waved pattern clapboard siding below the second floor windows and an elaborate gable end above with three small square windows with fishscale pattern wood shingles adjacent to them and a pent roof above. The large intact wraparound veranda has the original turned balusters and later lattice work screening. There is an angled porte-cochere on the rear northeast facing corner of the building which was added after 1957. Green Bay Intensive Survey Phases 2, 3 & 4 |
