NOTES
Additional Information:Cornice returns and half-round window in gables; one bay decked portico with rounded pediment and paired Tuscan columns; side lighted entrance flanked by grooved pilasters; six over clear plate glass windows; decked east side porch and enclosed rear porch similar to 916 Dover (28/3). A balconied entry portico dominates the Lebeis House built in the late 1920's for Walter Lebeis, owner of the Lebeis Hoseriery Manufacturing Company, (A) further characterized by five bay facade, gable roof, sidelighted entrance, multipaned windows, and paired Tuscan columns. One of three important American Colonial Revival Houses extant in Chippewa Falls (also CH28-3; CH31-15), the Lebeis House is a significant example of the 1920's-1930's Period House in the Colonial Revival Mode. RELATED BUILDING: Hoseriery Manufacturing Co. Building at 114 East Central (CH18-28).
