Additional Information: | 2021 - This dam is located west of Jefferson Avenue on Duncan Creek. It was constructed circa 1935, replacing the original dam at the site that dated to 1881. The current structure consists of a two-level concrete overflow spillway constructed with large timbers and granite fill. A mechanized tainter gate is located at the southern end which controls the water levels of Star Lake upstream. The dam is a total of 15 feet in height, with a hydraulic head of 11 feet. |
