Additional Information: | This structure contributes to the significance of the East College Avenue residential Historic District as a representative example of a picturesque Queen Anne house. Although the house has been badly disfigured by the installation of wide steel siding, alterations to the windows and the removal of the original front porch, it is still restorable and contributes to maintaining the continuity of the streetscape along College Avenue. This house was previously surveyed in 1991; no visible exterior changes have occurred since that time. Assessor's records indicate an 1893 date of construction. The owner was Jacob Crider, of the real estate firm of Crider, Whitman & Crider. |
