NOTES
Additional Information:This structure contributes to the significance of the East College Avenue Residential Historic District under criterion C as an example of a vernacular late Victorian village house of the 1870's that was remodeled in the fashionable Colonial Revival style in the 1920's. The original house was reclad in wood shingles, refenestrated with an oriel windows and leaded glass sash and given a new cottage door with a curved hood to bring it up to date. This reflects the continued popularity of the College Avenue area as a fashionable residential precinct well into the 1920's.

This house was previously surved in 1991; since then, new windows have been installed; therefore a new survey card is being submitted.
Assessor's records indicate an 1875 date of construction. Indeed, a house in a similar form is apparent on an 1886 Sanborn. the earliest known owner/occupant of the house was Rev. Thomas C. Wilson.
