"Lohman ran a barbershop and bathhouse in The Waverly Hotel from the 1870s through the early part of the 20th century. He married Matthias Schmidt's [of 416 W 5th St] sister Katie. Herman Schommer, co-founder of Badger Printing and a descendant of pioneer Nicholas Schommer, lived in the home in the 1930s."
