| Additional Information: | This structure contributes to the significance of the Appleton City Park Historic District under Criterion C as a good example of a Dutch Colonial style cottage that has been preserved virtually without alterations except for the addition of ornamental shutters on the upper front windows and wrought iron rails on the steps. This is an excellent example of a modest suburban home of the World War I era exhibiting the use of stucco, a newly fashionable cladding material of the time. Garage also on property. |
