| Additional Information: | 2024 - This Gabled-ell building was constructed in 1918. Facing west, the building is comprised of a two-story front-gabled mass that currently serves commercial purposes, and a two-story, gambrel-roofed residential wing that extends to the north. A brief shed-roof addition projects south from the first story of the front-gabled commercial building, while a flat-roofed porch wraps around the northwest corner of the gambrel-roofed wing. Both portions of the building are clad in vinyl siding. The entrance is located in the center of the commercial mass, recessed between large plate glass storefront windows. The window transom or signage area has been covered with narrow vertical siding, as have the knee-walls below the windows. Two one-over-one double hung sashes in vinyl surrounds are located above, flanked by vinyl shutters and with a vertical business sign hung in between. The flat-roofed porch of the residential wing is supported by plain wooden pillars and a modern railing, with the entrance located at the ell of the two buildings’ masses. A tri-partite bay window to the left of the doorway contains a large single-paned sash with transom. It is flanked by one-over-one double-hung sashes and is faced with modern storms. A bay of paired one-over-one double hung sashes and a single one-over-one sash is located in the second story above the porch. Windows throughout, with the exception of the commercial storefront and the residential bay window, appear to be modern replacements. |
