Additional Information: | A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the State Historical Society, Division of Historic Preservation. An example of the picturesque mode of design popular in the late nineteenth century, this frame residence occupies a large lot on Barstow hill. The building is two stories, with an attic and covered with clapboards. A band of imbrication interrupts the clapboards between the first and second story. Gables project from the central hipped roof. Projecting from the first story are two porches, both with bracketted posts supporting a hip roof, highlighted by metal cresting. |
