A simple picturesque design, this frame house is two stories in height with an attic situated beneath the combination hip and gable roof. The design includes a rectangular oriel projecting on the north elevation and a porch across the facade. A delicate circular pattern at the eave line of the porch and in porch brackets lightens the design. The residence is in good condition. A related building is a carriage house (WK 77/3). Individuals associated with this dwelling include Clara Rhodes, from 1890 to 1899 and Lowell and Arabel Smith from 1904 to 1921. [I]. Other map codes include 1992 City Map 92/269, 38/7 and Map "C". |
