Additional Information: | The Brown residence today obscured by the addition of a two story porch, is a very simplified Queen Anne dwelling. The two story structure is clapboard and shingled sided and features still visible include the shingled gables, paired bays, and on the first floor, large bays with diamond paned transoms. Originally an ornate veranda reached across the facade. Bruce Brown is listed at this address in 1908 (actually the address at that time was 315 Earl Street). He operated a saloon at 201 S. Barstow (B). |
