NOTES
Additional Information:Three commercial storefronts located in a small business district on W. Grand Avenue (formerly Bridge Street). The two story brick veneered buildings form a continuous facade and feature decorative brickwork patterns at the cornice line and segmental arch bays with window hoods. The lower storefront areas have been substantially altered, although the metal pillars are still visible on the building at 117 W. Grand. A photo of the building is included in the photo collection at the Chippewa Valley Museum. In 1883 a dining room (113 W. Grand), a saloon (115 W. Grand), and a grocery (117 W. Grand) were located in the buildings. (Note: The address numbers have changed on this block of W. Grand.) Similar occupants are listed for 1885, while in 1889 a feed and flour store, a drugstore, and a grocery were recorded. These establishments can be seen in the photo available at the museum.
