Additional Information: | A long, rectangular frame structure used for lumber storage. A low gable roof covers the building which features cupola-like elements for interior lighting purposes. The Dells Lumber Company was organized in 1879 and ten years later purchased the property of the Pioneer Lumber Company which was located on the west side of the Chippewa River just north of the Madison Street bridge. One of the larger producers in the region, the company was in operation until 1930. |
