Additional Information: | A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. Built sometime between 1913 and 1929, this frame Craftsman bungalow is a Sears house, the "Westly." (See Stevenson and Jandl, p.123) The house features exposed rafters, brackets with knee braces, a dominant side gabled roof with a gabled dormer and leaded cottage windows. It shows very good integrity. Four other examples of the "Westly" have been identified in Wisconsin. Only one, located in Waukesha, is more intact. It is uncertain for whom this house was built. It is located on what was Anders Lundmark's farm. |
