NOTES
Additional Information:Originally surveyed 1993.

Re-surveyed 2010: Constructed by its namesake, John Falk. Upon its opening in 1895, it boasted a hotel and saloon. The building's ideal location at the northeast corner of Military Road and CTH B solidified its presence in Sherwood. Two years later, Jake Fees purchase the building and added a dance hall. He also added a small two lane bowling alley in the basement. In 1910 Frank Wirtz assumed ownership of the building and it became known as the Frank Wirtz Tavern and Dance Hall. By 1934, however, it has been renamed the Albert #28;Jink Abdula#29; Helterlein Tavern. In 1936 Joe Diederich Sr. took over the tavern when Albert Helterlein, passed. Shortly thereafter, in 1944, the tavern was purchased by Tony Seidel. A 1961 map also confirms that Tony Seidel was still in ownership that year. Later, in 1996, it was Shirley's Bar. Today it's Jeanne's Bar.
