| Additional Information: | This two-story flat-roofed frame building is clad with drop siding and vertical board. A one-story addition was appended to the north wall and a gabled false front was added to simulate an Alpine look. The installation of siding over the clapboard walls and window and door openings, the installation of replacement windows, and modifications to the facade have seriously compromised the original appearance of the building. It was constructed in 1903 as a grocery store with a tavern in the back and a second-story residence. The exterior and interior of the building were altered when it was converted into Schussler's Bavarian Inn which is now closed. |
