Remnants of a sawmill, here in 1849, was built by P. Matts who founded Paoli at the site. The Minch Brothers built the large stone structure in c. 1864. The wood overhang in front is a later addtion. The mill still has operable machinery inside. #18 Donath Dane Co. Survey. Photo code: DAD-Paoli.
