Additional Information:BUILT BETWEEN 1895 AND 1908. UNUSUAL CROSS-GABLED HOUSE WITH SQUARE TOWER. ARCHITECTURAL STATEMENT: A TWO STORY HOUSE OF UNUSUALLY MOTTLED COLORED BRICK THAT HAS INTERSECTING, CORNICE BOARD TRIMMED SLOPING ROOFS. A SQUARE ENTRANCE TOWER WITH A FINIAL TOPPED PYRAMID ROOF IS PLACED AT THE INTERSECTION OF THE TWO WINGS OF THIS L-SHAPED HOUSE. STONE LINTELS OVER WINDOW GROUPS, LEADED GLASS, A TWO SIDED CLASSICAL DETAILED PORCH WITH A ROUNDED CORNER, AND A DECORATEVE DESIGN, PRESSED ZINC SHINGLED ROOF ARE FEATURES OF THIS LATE ECELCTIC HOUSE. THERE IS A ONE STORY WOODEN EXTENTION AT THE REAR. THIS HOUSE IS ARCHITECTURALLY SIGNIFICANT BECAUSE IT IS THE ONLY SUBSTANTIAL HOUSE IN CUBA CITY OF HISTORIC INFLUENCE THAT HAS REMAINED UNALTERED. IN ADDITION, IT HAS BEEN A LANDMARK IN CUBA CITY SINCE THE TURN OF THE CENTURY.
