Additional Information:A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. Architectual Statement: The Northwestern Hotel is a two story brick commercial structure sited opposite the Chicago and Northwestern Depot. [A]. The first story has been substantially altered, but the second story retains the nicely detailed cornice which culminates in a rouded pediment. The building, which is in fair condition, was owned by Elsie Polfuss in 1982. The facade is oriented to the South. Another map code is City Map #89.
