NOTES
Additional Information:1976: NE CORNER OF PROSPECT AND MINERAL 2021: This two-story Italianate style house stands at the northeast corner of Prospect and Mineral Streets in the village of Montfort. It was previously inventoried in 1976 and 1982. The house is nearly square in form and has a low-pitched hipped roof with doubled brackets beneath the wide eaves. The center of the roof was historically flat, but a hipped cap has been added to the top. The façade is comprised of two bays. On the first floor, the front door is offset by a band of three casement windows. On the second floor there is a small four-over-four sash window and larger one-over-one sash window. An open, hipped roof porch wraps the front and side of the house. It has lumber post supports and wood decking. The walls are clad in vinyl lap siding and the roofs are metal. Windows and doors throughout the house are modern replacements. The 1976 inventory photograph indicates the house has undergone several alterations. The window openings on the façade were originally about the same size, but all three have been changed. The current porch roof extends higher on the wall than the original flat roof, and the supports and decking have been replaced. The house has lost a substantial amount of integrity, including design, materials, and workmanship.
