Additional Information: | A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. 2021 - This Astylistic Utilitarian Building was constructed in 1918. The main portion of the building is a rectangular barn with a double monitor roofline and clad with vertical metal corrugated siding. The roof monitors each feature a series of tri-partite clerestory windows beneath the eaves. Other fenestration is limited to two bays of two 8-pane casement windows beneath the shallow gable of the main monitor on the north and south facades. The primary elevation faces south, with a one story, gable-roofed addition constructed circa 1990. The addition is clad in beige brick with wooden board and batten siding in the peak of the gable end. The projecting gable-roofed vestibule on the western elevation of the addition is also clad in board and batten siding. Windows on the addition consist of large square openings filled with plate glass sashes with cast stone sills beneath. A modern double-door glass entryway flanked by sidelights and a transom above is located on the south face of the monitor-roof portion of the building, sheltered by an asphalt-shingled shed roof awning that spans the width of the building. Openings on the north end of the building include two large overhead garage doors and three asymmetrically placed pedestrian entrances. |
