Additional Information: THIS BRICK, TWO-STORY HOUSE HAS A HIP ROOF, WITH GABLED ROOFS PORJECTING OVER THREE SIDED BAYS AT THE FRONT AND SIDES. PLAIN LINTELS OVER THE WINDOWS AND DOORS, A SIDE LIGHTED DOOR, AND A FLAT ROOF PORCH WITH BRICK RAILINGS SUPPORTED BY MASONRY PIERS ACCENT THE HOUSE. THIS RESIDENCE IS REPORTED TO HAVE AN ALL WALNUT INTERIOR. (A)

ARCHITECTURAL SIGNIFICANCE:

ONE OF FIVE HOUSES OF THIS TYPE IN PLATTEVILLE, THIS HOUSE IS SIMILAR IN STYLE TO THE FOLLOWING HOUSES: GT 35-11, GT 26-33, GT 36-33, GT 27-4 AND GT 27-5. THE HOUSE WAS BUILT IN 1908-1909 FOR A. W. HOOSER.
