NOTES
Additional Information: THIS TWO-STORY FRAME HOUSE OF MULITPLE FORMS RESTS ON A STONE FOUNDATION. THE SLOPING ROOF IS INTERSECTED TO THE NORTH AND TO THE SOUTH BY HIP ROOFED THREE-SIDED BAYS. A THREE-PART HIPPED ROOF COVERS THE STRUCTURE LOCATED IN THE ANGLE FORMED BY THE TWO WINGS OF THE HOUSE. A FLARED UPPER STORY, STAINED GLASS, AND DECORATIVE SHINGLES BOTH IN THE GABLE END AND THROUGH THE CENTER OF THE FACADES WHICH VISUALLY SEPARATE THE TWO STORIES (STRING COURSES), ARE FEATURES INFLUENCED BY THE M. A. CHARACTERISTICS OF THE QUEEN ANNE STYLE. THE WRAP-AROUND PORCH IS DECORATED WITH SPINDLES, BALUSTRADES AND TURNED POSTS. A PEDIMENTED GABLE ROOF MARKS THE ENTRANCE TO THE PORCH.

ARCHITECTURAL SITNIFICANCE:

AS ONE OF THE THREE BETTER M. A. INFLUENCED QUEEN ANNE VERNACULAR STYLED HOUSES (OTHERS ARE GT 26-19 AND GT 32-26), THIS VERNACULAR DWELLING IS IMPORTANT AS A REPRESENTATIVE OF 19TH CENTURY ARCHITECTURE. THIS HOUSE WAS BUILT PRIOR TO 1895.
