Additional Information: THIS BEIGE BRICK, TWO-STORY COMMERCIAL BLOCK HAS A FLAT SLOPING ROOF AND PLAIN WINDOWS. A DENTICULATED AND CUT-BRICK CORNICE AND A PATTERNED BRICK STRING COURSE RUN AROUND THE FACADE AND WEST SIDE. THE STORE FRONT HAS HAD SOME ALTERATION FOR CONTEMPORARY USE. THE RED BRICK WALL AT THE REAR HAS SEGMENTAL ARCHED WINDOWS. HISTORICAL BACKGROUND AND SIGNIFICANCE: THIS BUILDING WAS ERECTED ON THE SITE OF THE ORIGINAL BRICK "BAYLEY BLOCK" OF 1845. IT HAS HOUSED MANY SMALLER BUSINESSES. THE POST OFFICE WAS LOCATED HERE UNTIL 1910. THE BUILDING WAS CONSTRUCTED IN 1898.
