NOTES
Additional Information:This two story Italianate styled house features a rectangular shaped plan configuration, a cut stone foundation, a cream brick exterior, a wood trim and an asphalt shingled, low-pitched, mutli-gabled roof. Architectural elements include wide eaves, spindled gable ornaments in the open gable ends, and keystoned and jack arched window hoods. The former residence, which is in good condition, served more recently as office space. E. E. Elliott owned the building in 1982.

Historical Statement:

Assessment roll and directory research indicates that a house, owned by Frank Richards, was located here as early as 1866. Despite this , the transitional style of the house and secondary information indicates that this house was built in about 1881. The owner of the property in 1881 was Otto Kneipp, a blacksmith. The Otto Kneipp house is architecturally significant in that it represents a type, period or method of construction.
