Additional Information: THIS BRICK, TWO-STORY HOUSE FEATURES A SLOPING TERNEPLATE ROOF, STRAIGHT STONE WINDOW LINTELS, A SIDE LIGHTED ENTRANCE DOOR AND A DECKED ENTRANCE PORCH SUPPORTED BY FLARED POSTS ON MASONRY BASES. A ONE STORY EXTENSION IS AT THE REAR. THE WINDOWS AND PORCH HAVE BEEN ALTERED FROM THE ORIGINAL.

ARCITECTURAL SIGNIFICANCE:

THIS IS ONE OF THE FEW 19TH CENTURY BRICK PLATTEVILLE HOUSES THAT HAS RETAINED THE ORIGINAL EXTERIOR BRICK FABRIC. THE HOUSE WAS BUILT FOR E. W. THOMAS PRIOR TO 1868 AND IT WAS NOT REPHOTOGRAPHED FOR THE 2005 SURVEY.
