ACCORDING TO A LOCAL RESIDENT, THIS WAS THE "FIRST BUSINESS OF JONES, WHO LATER FOUNDED MINERAL POINT ZINC FURNACE COMPANY, ON [THE] OLD STAGE ROUTE."
