| Additional Information: | 2006-APPEARANCE UNCHANGED.1988-Photo code #1: FCS 3/10 c.1920 Garage on property. Built circa 1920 by Charles Mueller, son of Carl G. Mueller who owned the Mueller-Wright House at 425 Washington 2015- "This two-and-one-half-story vernacular house was constructed c.1920. It has a rock-faced stone foundation, full-width enclosed porch, and cross gambrel roof. The first floor has clapboard siding, while the gambrel ends composing the upper stories are clad with wood shingles. A pent roof encircles the building between the first and second stories. The enclosed front porch is three bays wide with the entry door off-center in the outer, north bay. Plain engaged columns separate the bays. Windows enclosing the porch are two-over-one wood sashes. Within the front gambrel is a row of eight two-over-one wood sash windows on the second floor and a square, single-light wood window beneath the roof peak. Windows on the secondary elevations are replacement one-over-one sashes. A projecting three-sided bay is located on the first floor of the south (side) elevation. The property also includes a large detached garage with a similar gambrel roof as the house. The building is otherwise completely renovated with modern materials." - "N Spring St/Business USH 151, Maple Av to Mackie St", WISDot #3803-00-64, Prepared by Commonwealth Cultural Resources (CCRG), (2015). 2009- "This two-story, Dutch Colonial Revival style residence rests on a rusticated masonry foundation. Featuring a gambrel roof, the house is sheathed with clapboards on its first floor and wooden shingles on the upper floor (within the gambrels). The primary (north) facade has a full-width, enclosed, columned porch located under the gambrel, which contains an enclosed porch on the upper floor. The porches contain wooden sash storm windows. The house features large gambrel dormers on its side elevations. Fenestration predominantly consists of one-over-one, double-hung windows. A fixed sash, leaded-glass window is found on the side (east) elevation." -"STH 96/High St Bridge Replacement", WisDOT#4095-12-00, Prepared by Heritage Reasearch, Ltd. (McQuillen), (2009). |
