Additional Information: | Brick and stucco are the exterior fabrics on this one story commercial building. The roof is flat and there is a rear addition. Block glass is around the entry. A metal cornice has 2 large end brackets and smaller brackets between. There is a floral and vine pattern here. Brickwork is corbel dentils and a geometric rectangular pattern. The cornice and u[pper facade birck work has kept much of its integrity but the bottom part has been altered to the extent that the building has no architectural significance. This site was a 2 story frame body and shingle roof saloon in 1887. It was a restaurant in 1892. The building was destroyed in the 1899 tornado. In 1900 it was rebuilt as a restaurant and confectioneers. It wsa a one story brick structure with slate roof. In 1912 a confectioneers and Queensware shop was here. By 1927 the roof was composite and the building was used for offices. The development of this site parallels the rest of New Richond's business and has no historical significance. |
