Additional Information:The building is a one story office building on the city's Main Street and has common walls with the buildings next door. The facade is recent and is of brick and metal. There is a rear addition. Alterations have destroyed the integrity of this building and it has no architectural significance because of this.

In 1887 and 1892 this was the site of a one story frame building with shingled roof. It sold meats. Destroyed in the 1899 tornado, a building wsa not put up until between 1900-1905. It was a bakery and restaurant. Nelson's Bakery and Restaurant was here from 1905-1932. In 1933 Walter McDermott has a hardware store here. The building is not associated with either important people or events here. It has no outstanding historical significance.
