Additional Information: THIS COMMERCIAL BUILDING, LOCATED ON A CORNER LOT, WAS IN THE PROCESS OF BEING REPAIRED AND ALTERED IN 1985. THE FIRST FLOOR CORNER ENTRANCE RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL ARHCITECTURE; THE ARCHED CORNER DOORWAY IS ITS MOST PROMINENT ELEMENT. COMMERCIAL VERNACULAR IN STYLE, THIS TWO-STORY BANK FEATURES A RECTANGULAR PLAN CONFIGURATION, A STONE FOUNDATION, A BRICK AND STONE VENEER EXTERIOR, A CERAMIC TILE TRIM AND A FLAT ROOF WITH A PARAPET. ALL ELSE IS NEW, INCLUDING THE INTERIOR. THE STRUCTURE IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. THE BARNEVELD STATE BANK (HELMENSTINE II, 73) WAS FOUNDED IN 1896. THE BUILDING WAS USED AS A BANK FROM THE DATE OF ITS CONSTRUCTION IN 1906 (HELMENSTINE) TO THE PRESENT DAY. THE INDIVIDUAL ASSOCIATED WITH THIS BUILDING WAS JEROME J. JONES (H).
