NOTES
Additional Information: THIS TWO AND A HALF STORY, QUEEN ANNE STYLED RESIDENCE IS FUNDAMENTALLY A FRONT GABLEED FORM WITH PROJECTING SIDE BAYS THAT EXTEND THROUGH THE ROOF-LINE. EACH WINDOW HAS AN UNUSUAL, PEDIMENTED ARCHITRAVE, AND FISH-SCALE SHINGLES APPEAR IN THE GABLE ENDS. A PORCH/BALCONY SUPPORTED BY TURNED POSTS IS LOCATED ON THE SIDE OF THE HOUSE TO THE REAR, AND A MANSARDED PORTICO SHELTERS THE FRONT ENTRANCE. THE EXTERIOR HAS REMAINED INTACT THROUGHOUT THE YEARS. A CROSS-SHAPED PLAN CONFIGURATION, A STONE FOUNDATION, A CLAPBOARD EXTERIOR, WOOD TRIM AND AN ASPHALT SHINGLED, MULTI-GABLED EXTERIOR ARE OTHER ARCHITECTURAL ELEMENTS OF THE DWELLING. THE CONDITION OF THE HOUSE IS EXCELLENT. ITS DATE OF CONSTRUCTION, ACCORDING TO THE DEED, OCCURRED IN C. 1890, AND A REMODELING OF THE INTERIOR OCCURRED IN THE 1950'S, ACCORDING TO THE OWNER. RELATED TO THIS BUILDING IS A GARAGE; NO INTENSIVE SURVEY DESCRIBES THIS STRUCTURE. THE HOUSE WAS ASSOCIATED HISTORICALLY WITH JOHN D. JONES IN THE YEAR 1906, ACCORDING TO HELMENSTINE.
