THE DODGEVILLE MOTOR CAR COMPANY WAS ORGANIZED BY J. H. FORD, OWNER OF THE FORD HARDWARE STORE (326 N. IOWA STREET, 50/15) IN 1908. IN 1914, HE TURNED OVER THE MANAGEMENT OF THE AUTOMOBILE OPERATION TO FRANK C. BERRYMAN, A CLERK IN HIS IOWA STREET STORE. AFTER OPENING IN A SMALL FRAME BUILDING, THE COMPANY WAS, IN 1927, RELOCATED IN THIS LARGE BRICK STRUCTURE WHICH ACCOMMODATED THE SALES AND SERVICE OF STUDEBAKERS, HUDSONS, DODGES, PLYMOUTHS, NASHES, AND OLDSMOBILES. (SEE BIB. REF. A).
