Additional Information: | This 2 1/2 story residence hsa aluminum siding exterior fabric and Queen or Princess Anne details. The gable roof has pedimented gables. The front gable has a flat head Palladian window. There is a 2 story side projection with bay windows (or corner windows) that have sawn wood details. The full front porch has a hip roof with a pedimented gable. There is a 1st story picture window. Front windows have brackets on the head. The cornice is boxed. Alterations have dimished the integrity of this residence. Colonial revival details are popular and houses with more intact detailing remain. This one has no significance. A 1 1/2 story outbuilding with a saltbox roof and clapboard exterior fabric is also on the property. The roof is covered with wood shingles. Possibly O. Hemenway residence 1897 location is same as on & plan is very close. |
