Additional Information: | This small structure is clad with polished black structural glass, accented with white glass inlay and polished aluminum framing elements and signage. This is the only example of this early mid-20th century cladding within the District and is a good example of the common "Moderne" commercial style of the period. This building contributes to the architectural significance of the District as an intact local example of this once nationally common style and building material. This building was built in 1935 on the site of an earlier building which was destroyed by fire in 1934. |
