| Additional Comments |
This single-story brick commercial building has a strong, horizontal emphasis that is accented by the s tandard red/gold sign and bands of darker brick on the upper parts of the facade. Its original architectural fabric is virtually intact and for this reason, it is an excellent example of an endemic building ty pe. While of relatively recent construction, it does contribute to the architectural significance of the District because it is an intact local example of a common national building type and style and an accent within an intact commercial blockface. in 1982, it was still occupied by F.W. Woolworth. In 2005, Formalities & the Door County Confectionery occupy the building. |
