Additional Information:This large, two story barn-like structure, which is in fair condition, has intersecting gable roofs with ventilators. Douglas D. Rubnitz owned the building in 1982. Historic Statement: This building was originally constructed for the Janesville Stockyards, but was converted to a bowling alley in 1970. (See Bib. Ref. A). 2022: Descendant of Clyde Hoops states that Hoop built the livestock auction barn circa 1937. Hoops ran the business for a few years after that.
