Additional Information: | An "Ell" in plan, this plainly detailed house is in the late Queen Anne style. It is asymetrical in massing but simply detailed. Clad with clapboard, the house is two stories high. Shingles clad the gables and the pediment over the entry of the wrap-around porch. Scroll sawn brackets, turned porch posts and a new wood balustrade are other features of the porch. Small panes of glass accent portions of the windows and are characteristic of this style. False shutters have veen added, but this building is of some architectural interest as an example of a once common local style. |
