Additional Information:The Prospect Hill & Conrad Cottages Historic Districts: A Guide: This Late Gothic Revival style church is built of Menominee hydraulic pressed brick. Gothic Revival features include pointed arch windows, window tracery, tall steeple at the entrance end, and a variety of walls surface details.

St. Mary's congregation, formed in 1876 built this church between 1900 and 1902. F.H. Kemp, a Beloit architect, designed the building; Fred Roessling, Sr. of Janesville was the supervising architect and contractor; and Tappendorf of Rock Island was the bulider. The cost of construction was $50,000.
