Bungalow styled elements include a street facing open gable end, exposed rafter ends, brackets and an exterior chimney. The off-centered front porch has its gabled roof supported by short, tapered posts on clapboarded bases. The residence, which is in good condition, was owned by Keith D. Ostic in 1982. The Vernon J. Beals house was built in c. 1920. (See Bib. Ref. A). It is architecturally significant in that it represents a type, period, or method of construction.
